S1:E24 – Girl, Interrupted

Jordan and Kayla delve into the details of the film Girl, Interrupted, which came out in 1999 and is based on the memoir of the same name by Susanna Kaysen. The film takes place in the late 1960s and follows Susanna over the 18 months that she receives psychiatric treatment at a private mental health facility. We discuss history, diagnoses, and treatment, as well as our thoughts on the casting choices (RIP Brittany Murphy).
